This Act amends the Medical Patient Rights Act by requiring health care facilities to permit at least one visitor for each patient in the event the governor declares a public health emergency or disaster, not including a visiting clergy member.

The General Assembly amended the Medical Patient Rights Act to expand women’s rights during pregnancy and childbirth.
